How Mantle Bridge Works

Mantle Bridge uses a lock-and-mint mechanism secured by Mantle's rollup contracts on Ethereum. When you deposit tokens:

  • Your assets are locked in the bridge contract on Ethereum L1.
  • Equivalent tokens are minted on Mantle Network within minutes.
  • Withdrawals initiate a 7-day challenge period before funds are released on L1.
  • All state transitions are posted to Ethereum for ultimate security.

This design ensures that Mantle Bridge inherits Ethereum's security guarantees while benefiting from Mantle's high throughput and low fees.

Mantle Bridge is developed and maintained by the Mantle core team. It is fully open-source, audited, and designed to be the canonical settlement layer for all assets entering and leaving Mantle Network.
